Double Text? Nah

Double Text? Nah

When engaging in conversation through text with the person you’re interested in, sometimes there can be a delayed response for whatever reason that may be which then can propel a person to send a follow up text. That can be seen in a few ways, some may be positive or negative.

Now as you sit there and wait on this text back from this oh so amazing person you’ve been smitten by, you notice you keep checking your phone every couple minutes knowing you haven’t felt a vibration and your phone isn’t on “do not disturb”. You then calm down and try to distract yourself then you suddenly notice you just binge watched the last season of Orange is the New Black, ate dinner, and completed an entire skin routine. So here we are staring at the phone with a slight attitude.

At this point you feel like you have to double text them to see what’s up or just to remind them that you’re impatiently waiting for them to reply. This is the part where you might need to go grab a glass of water so you can quench that thirst you might be feeling.

In my honest, sincere, genuine, straightforward, lack of tact opinion *clears throat*… FUCK (I yelled) a double text.

We don’t do that in 2019. If he/she doesn’t respond to that first text then keep it moving my guy.

A couple reasons I feel you should not is because:

1.       It can be irritating because you don’t know what that person is doing

2.       If they feel like talking to you then they’ll get back to you and if they don’t then you know what’s up

3.       You don’t wanna be a thirst bucket

Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely times when it is okay. If that’s someone you are officially or unofficially dating (situationship included) then I get it.

All I’m saying is don’t be out here looking thirsty when that’s not how you typically are, over someone who ain’t really rocking with you.

Don’t stay thirsty my friends.. Be well
